100% Silicone Roof Rubberizer Forms An Entirely New Roof On Your RV That's Impervious To Sun Damage!
RV Roof Rubberizer is a newer technology that prevents roof caulking from cracking and membranes from deteriorating in the sun
Below is a short video of a roof that's been rubberized and is still wet from recent rains. This will help you get a sense of what this product does and how it works. And you'll get a chance to see different upgrades we can install that will make a big difference on your next RV outing.
The Problem With Most RV Roofs Is Sun Damage
When an Rv Roof leaks from cracked roof caulking, the results can be devastating. In the below video we will take a close look at the inside of a RV roof that has leaked, and see first hand what this kind of damage it can do. If your roof already has soft spots, we can repair them along with our rubberizer service. The key is to prevent this from happening in the first place.
The Problem With EPDM Rubber Membranes
While failed roof caulking is a major contributor to a leaky roof, EPDM Rubber Membranes have their own share of problems. Over time oxidative damage will cause that factory textured surface to turn chaulky and wash off and your membrane will turn black. The sun will superheat this exposed black surface causing it to shrink and split and the roof to leak. Below is a video of a roof that has gone through this process and has multiple soft spots as a result.
Not All Roof Rubberizers Are The Same
About that cheap coating in the last video. Often people will go with what's inexpensive and acrylic coatings are just that. An inexpensive way to turn a blackened RV roof white again. But acrylic elasromeric is basically house paint and tends to peel up over time, even with primers. Acrylics also lack the powerful sun blocking technology of a Silicone Product. Just look at the strength of a fully bonded Silicone rubberizer in this next video. Not even a commercial grade pressure washer can strip it off! Now that's impressive!
How Do Silicone Rubberizers Work? Lets Take A Look...
The science behind Silicone Rubberizers is really quite simple. A Silicone Molecule is already oxidized. This means Silicone is resistant to sun damage. Titanium Dioxide reflects sunlight. Which means it will resist heating up on its surface. Any product made from Silicone and Titanium Dioxide is going to resist sun damage while keeping the surface cooler. Various brands of this type of product have different properties as shown in the chart below.
How Much Does A Service Like This Cost?
We are $30 per linear foot for our Premium Silicone Self-leveling RV Roof Rubberizer with Sun blocking technology and a Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty.
To calculate pricing on your RV, take the overall length in feet as given by the manufacturer and multiply by 30. If you're not sure about the overall length you can look up the specs for your RV online by searching for the year, make and model.
A 30ft RV x $30 per linear foot = $900. This is the cost for the main roof itself. Slideouts are an additional $3 per square foot if you'd like those protected as well.
A slideout with a 10 ft roof that's 3ft wide has an exposed roof surface of 30 sqft. 30 sqft x $3 per sqft = $90 to rubberize that slideout roof.
If you'd like a free in-person estimate where we get on the roof and shoot video of our findings, then go over the inspection with you, simply provide an address and your availability. For your convenience we are a mobile service provider in North Central Florida. Services outside of this area are an additional mileage fee.
